Privacy Policy

Effective date: 29 August 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Manuk Beauty (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit manukbeauty.nl and shop in our store. We are based in Almere, the Netherlands, and we process personal data in accordance with the Dutch General Data Protection Regulation (AVG) and the EU GDPR.

1. Who we are

Manuk Beauty, a small independent Korean skincare store based in Almere, the Netherlands. Questions about your data? Contact us anytime at contact@manukbeauty.nl.

2. What data we collect

When you place an order we collect: your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number (optional), and the order details (product, quantity, price, payment method used).

When you create an account we store your name, email address, password (hashed), and your order history.

When you contact us (contact form or email) we receive your name, email address and the content of your message.

Automatically we process limited technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for site security and to understand how the store is used.

3. Why we process your data (legal bases)

To fulfil your order (AVG Art. 6(1)(b) – contract): processing your order, arranging payment and shipping, and sending order confirmations.

Legitimate interest (AVG Art. 6(1)(f)): fraud prevention, site security, and improving our store.

Consent (AVG Art. 6(1)(a)): optional marketing emails and analytics cookies, which you can withdraw at any time.

Legal obligation (AVG Art. 6(1)(c)): keeping records required by tax and accounting law.

4. Payments

Payment on our store is processed by Mollie (Mollie B.V., Keizersgracht 126, 1015 CW Amsterdam) or the relevant payment provider, depending on the method you choose (iDEAL, credit card, etc.). We do not store your card details. The payment provider receives the details needed to process the transaction and handles them under its own privacy policy.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to make the store work and to improve your experience:

• Essential cookies — required for the shopping cart, checkout and login to function.
• Analytics cookies — used (with consent) to understand how visitors use the store so we can improve it.
• Cookie consent — our cookie banner (SureCookie) records your preferences before non-essential cookies are placed.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings on the site, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser.

6. Sharing with third parties

We only share your data with processors needed to run the store: our hosting provider (ZipWP), payment providers (e.g. Mollie), and shipping carriers for the delivery of your order. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

7. Data retention

We keep order data for as long as required by Dutch tax law (7 years for financial records). Contact form messages are kept until the question is resolved. Analytics data is kept in aggregated, non-identifying form.

8. Your rights (AVG)

Under the AVG/GDPR you have the right to:

• access your personal data (Art. 15)
• correct inaccurate data (Art. 16)
• request deletion of your data (Art. 17)
• restrict processing (Art. 18)
• data portability (Art. 20)
• object to processing (Art. 21)
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@manukbeauty.nl. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

9. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including SSL/HTTPS encryption and access controls. Payment data is handled by PCI-compliant payment providers and never stored on our servers.
